Heating Oil Delivery in Philadelphia, PA
We deliver heating oil into Philadelphia from the Bucks County side, which means our coverage is strongest exactly where oil heat is most common in the city: the Far and Near Northeast, plus Chestnut Hill in the north-west.
Northeast Philadelphia is, in practice, an extension of lower Bucks. Much of it was built out in the decades after the war, before gas service reached every block, and a great deal of that housing still burns oil. The neighbourhoods we cover most often run from Torresdale and Parkwood through Bustleton, Somerton and Byberry down to Rhawnhurst, Bells Corner and the Pennypack area.
City delivery has its own quirks. On rowhomes and twins the fill pipe is often on a shared or narrow side path, and street parking is the single most common reason a stop cannot be completed. If you can keep the space in front of the fill pipe clear on your delivery date, the stop takes minutes.
Ordering in the city
Enter your ZIP code for a live per-gallon price for your address. Order and pay online with a credit card — cash accepted as well — with no contract, no enrolment fee and no credit check.
If your street is tight, or the fill pipe is somewhere a driver would not immediately find, mention it when you order and we will note it on the ticket.
Which parts of the city we cover
Our Philadelphia coverage is deliberately bounded. We serve the Northeast — the 19114, 19115, 19116, 19152 and 19154 ZIP codes — and Chestnut Hill in the north-west, because those are the areas our Bucks County routes can reach properly and where oil heat is still common.
We are not a citywide carrier, and we would rather tell you that up front than take an order we cannot service well. Enter your ZIP code and the system will tell you immediately whether you are inside our area, before you fill anything in.
Oil heat in a city rowhome
City oil tanks tend to be in basements, reached by a fill pipe on the front or side wall. In older rowhomes the pipe is sometimes painted over, buried behind a downspout, or shared with the property next door — so if you have just bought the house, it is worth locating it before you need a delivery in a hurry.
Tank sizes run smaller here than in the suburbs. A lot of city basements hold a 220 or a 275, which in a cold week is not a large buffer. Ordering at a quarter tank matters more, not less, in the city.
