Montgomery County sits west and north-west of our Bristol base, and it is some of the best oil-heat territory in the region — a ring of older, established suburbs where much of the housing stock went up long before gas mains reached every street.

The eastern edge is closest to us and densest: Abington, Cheltenham, Jenkintown, Elkins Park, Glenside, Wyncote and Willow Grove, where twins and stone singles from the early twentieth century are still commonly heated with oil. Further west and north the county opens out through Horsham, Hatboro, Ambler, Fort Washington, Blue Bell and Lansdale toward Norristown, the county seat, and the Gwynedd and North Wales area.

Because Montgomery is further from Bristol than lower Bucks, most of the county falls into a higher delivery zone. That is built into the per-gallon price you are quoted rather than added as a separate delivery fee, so there is nothing to work out afterwards.
