Part-Time Fuel Oil Delivery Driver (CDL B, Tanker/Hazmat)

$24 – $34 per hour, based on experience

Bristol, PA 19007 · routes across Bucks & Montgomery County

The same route work as our full-time drivers, on a lighter and more seasonal schedule. A strong fit for a retired or semi-retired driver, or someone driving elsewhere who wants winter hours.

Schedule: Part time and flexible. Heaviest need is November through March and during cold snaps. We build a schedule with each part-time employee, around your availability and what the routes need that week — we work that out on the phone, not on this form.

What you’ll do

Run heating oil and diesel delivery routes on a part-time, seasonal schedule
Complete DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections and log them
Meter, deliver and reconcile fuel; take payment and complete tickets accurately
Be the driver we call when the temperature drops and will-call orders stack up
Keep the truck clean, fueled and safe, and write up anything that is not right

What you need

Valid CDL Class B or A
Tanker (N) and Hazmat (H) endorsements — the combination X endorsement is N and H together
No air brake restriction — that is, no L restriction on your license
Current DOT medical card
21 or older
Clean motor vehicle record, and clear in the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
Able to pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen and take part in DOT random testing
Able to lift up to 50 lbs, pull and reposition up to 175 ft of charged delivery hose, climb in and out of the truck repeatedly and work outdoors in winter — with or without reasonable accommodation

Nice to have

Prior fuel oil, propane or tanker experience
Familiarity with Bucks and Montgomery County roads
An existing TWIC

This is a part-time position and does not include benefits. Our full-time roles do — we’d rather you knew that now than find out on the phone.

There is no reduced standard for part time. The truck and the product are the same, so the licensing and testing requirements are identical to the full-time seat. We’re looking for experienced drivers who already have their credentials in place — CDL, endorsements and a current DOT medical card — and are ready to go to work.
